From the Editor

This Edition will a "short" version. There will be NO club meeting this month because we were notified by the Church administrator that our meeting hall will not be available on November 9th.
I was also advised by President Walt Pierzchala that there will not be a meeting of the Board of Governors in November.

Daylight Saving Time will end on October 31 and the evenings will be gone for flying. Morning and afternoon flying will probably continue for some members, but when the temperature hits the 40's it's time for me to pack it in. Then it's back into the celler to put together another model for next year's season.
See you at the auction!!

BOG Review

Meeting October 19, 1999
15 members present, 6 new BOG members also attended.
Meeting called to order at 7:10 PM by President Walt Pierzchala:

1) Much discussion about our overworked and undermanned flight training program. The BOG presented questions and Jim Campana fielded the answers. The results clearly show more input is needed to handle safety, training, and procedures. Direct any comments to Jim or a BOG member. As a club we will be working on this now, for next year.

2) Miles Bowman has requested to be a Field Marshall. This has been directed to the Chief Field Marshall, Ed Moore.

3) The on-field storage facility request is still pending.

4) There will not be a club meeting for November.

5) Club Auction November 6th, extra hands will be needed to help out. See Ed Snead.

6) Frequency pins should be in one of two places: on the board or on your transmitter. The alloted time per use is 15 minutes. A smart flyer walks the flight line to determine multiple frequency use, and confirms this with another pilot.

7) Next years (2000) Club Officers are:

President - Walt Pierzchala
Vice President - Paul Davis
Secretary - Dee Messina
Treasurer - Al Primas

Respectfully submitted,
Dee Messina, Secretary

It's Auction Time Again!!
Saturday, November 6,
Valley Forge Middle School
Yep, that's right, another year went by and it's auction time again. This time we'll be back at our regular auction site at the Valley Forge Middle School on Valley Forge Road. The school is about 1/2 mile from our field and has undergone an extensive renovation since last year.

This auction is an annual tradition with our Club and draws R/C hobbyists from a wide area. If you have a plane or an engine or a radio or other R/C equipment you wish to sell, bring it out. And if you're coming out to buy, bring lotsa cash. You may be surprised at what's being offered on the auction block!

As before, bidders cards are $3.00 and registration begins at 9:00 AM. The auction is scheduled to begin at 10:30 AM. Food and beverages will be available to all.
